About Us

I started 3D-Laz FDC's in 2007 with the International Polar Year Souvenir Sheet

Chris was planning on attending the ceremony and I wanted to produce a cachet that would really stand out and sell well, if he had the opportunity.

We discussed several ideas, before we thought about combining the technicals I use in scrap-booking and applying them to cachets. Dave Bennett, one of my favorite cachetmakers, has produced "pop-up" cachets, but these lie flat. My technique takes cachet to whole new level, so to speak. They are applied to give the first day cover a third dimension. This can't be found on printed cachets (No offense to my husband) or to ones that are hand-painted.
